Rihards Lomažs, a 193-centimetre guard, brings to Cedevita Olimpija a wealth of experience from European club competitions, international basketball and several European domestic leagues. During the 2025/26 season, he played for Neptūnas in the BKT EuroCup and was one of the Lithuanian team’s key players. In 16 appearances, he averaged 18.6 points, 4.1 assists and 3.1 rebounds per game, while shooting 38.8 percent from three-point range.

Lomažs began his basketball career in Latvia, where he also played for Ventspils. He later competed in France, Germany, Türkiye, Spain, Italy and Lithuania. He gained EuroLeague experience with ASVEL and Virtus Bologna, while last season in the EuroCup he demonstrated his ability both to score and create opportunities for his teammates. He was also named the EuroCup Regular Season Round 13 MVP.

Lomažs is a regular member of the Latvian national team. At FIBA EuroBasket 2025, he averaged 11.5 points and 5.8 assists per game. In the Round of 16 against Lithuania, he recorded 21 points and seven assists. He has so far appeared in eight games in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 European Qualifiers, averaging 18.3 points, 3.8 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game.
