Derin Can Ustun is a talented Turkish-Canadian point guard who joined Cedevita Olimpija in the 2023/24 season. After missing the entire 2024/25 season due to injury, he successfully made the transition to senior basketball in 2025/26, recording his first minutes in the green-and-orange jersey in the BKT EuroCup and the AdmiralBet ABA League.

Alongside his appearances for the senior team, he was also one of the leading players in the club’s youth teams. He helped Cedevita Olimpija secure a historic third-place finish in the U19 ABA League—the first medal won by a Slovenian club in the competition. In the third-place game against Zadar, he recorded 20 points and 11 assists in a 119:80 victory. In the summer of 2026, he was also selected to participate in the prestigious adidas Eurocamp.

Ustun has also gained extensive experience in international youth competitions. Representing Türkiye, he played at the FIBA U16 and U18 EuroBaskets, as well as the FIBA U17 Basketball World Cup. Ahead of the 2026 FIBA U20 EuroBasket, he was also included in Türkiye’s preliminary roster.
