Grega Nachbar started his coaching career in Koper, where for many years he was the manager of teams of younger age categories in ŠD Koš Koper. In the 2015/16 season, he independently managed Plama Pur, and a season later he was an assistant coach in Portorož.

In 2017, he moved to the Helios Suns, with whom he shaped the top of Slovenian basketball in recent seasons and also played in the final tournament of the ABA 2 League in Domžale in the 2022/23 season.
