Cameron Houindo moved from France to Ljubljana in the summer of 2025. One of the most promising European basketball players of his generation first made his mark in 2024, when he was named MVP of the FIBA U16 EuroBasket after leading France to the European championship title.

In his first season with Cedevita Olimpija, he gained valuable experience in the EuroCup, the ABA League and Slovenian domestic competitions, while helping the Dragons win the Slovenian Super Cup, the Spar Cup and the national championship. He appeared in 17 ABA League games, delivering his best performance against Dubai with 16 points and six rebounds in just under 19 minutes.

At the same time, he shone in the adidas NextGen EuroLeague. He led Cedevita Olimpija’s U18 team to victory at the qualifying tournament in Ulm, where he averaged 22.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game and was named tournament MVP. At the Finals in Athens, he averaged 21.0 points and 9.7 rebounds, playing an important role in the Ljubljana team’s historic qualification for the final stage of the competition.

In February 2026, Houindo was also named MVP of the prestigious Basketball Without Borders All-Star Camp in Los Angeles, organised by the NBA and FIBA as part of NBA All-Star Weekend.

Houindo has represented France at the FIBA U17 Basketball World Cup, as well as the FIBA U16 and U18 EuroBasket tournaments.
