Dalibor Damjanović’s coaching career began in 2002 in Kranj, where he was initially an assistant and then the head coach of Triglav. He also worked in Polish Anwil and was the head coach in Škofja Loka between 2008 and 2010, returning to Triglav, and between 2011 and 2014, he was an assistant head coach at Helios. In the 2015/16 season, he was the head coach of ŽKD Ilirija, and in 2016 he moved to Novo Mesto’s Krka, where he was first an assistant and then the head coach of the senior team. In December 2023, he took over as the head coach of the Hungarian team Kaposvári. Damjanović was also the head coach of the Slovenian men’s U20 national team for several years, with which he won a silver medal at the 2017 European Championship Division B in Bulgaria. He was also part of the coaching staff of the Slovenian men’s senior national team, working at the Tokyo Olympics, the 2022 European Championship, and the 2023 World Championship.
