DJ Stewart has been a member of Cedevita Olimpija since the start of the 2023/24 season, joining the Dragons just before the regular season began. Previously, in the 2021/22 season, he played for the Sioux Falls Skyforce and Austin Spurs, and in the 2022/23 season, he also competed in the Dominican Republic for the Marineros. Stewart was also seen in the NBA Summer League, representing the Washington Wizards.

In 16 EuroCup games during the 2023/24 season, DJ Stewart averaged 12.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.3 assists, spending just over 29 minutes per game on the court. In the regional league, he played 27 games, averaging 25.6 minutes per game, with 11.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. In the Slovenian national championship, he appeared in all seven playoff games, averaging 13.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.6 steals in 25.5 minutes per game.

In the 2024/25 season, his second with Cedevita Olimpija, DJ played in 20 EuroCup games and 33 ABA League games. In the EuroCup, he averaged just under 25 minutes per game, scoring 9.3 points, grabbing 4.7 rebounds, and dishing out 1.7 assists. In the regional league, he averaged 25.3 minutes per game, scoring 11.0 points, with 3.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.
