Tevž Ružič started his basketball career at the Peter Vilfan Basketball School, followed by a move to the then Union Olimpija, where he spent practically his entire career with teams of younger age categories. He experienced senior basketball in the jersey of Ilirija, with which he won the 4th SKL, 3rd SKL and 2nd SKL, and also tried out in the Nova KBM League. He also spent part of his career in Austria, and as a player he last wore the Janče jersey.
In the last period, he worked as a coach of teams of younger age categories, and he was also part of the coaching staff of the Slovenian national team under the age of 16, with which he was part of three European championships. Ružič is also a two-time Slovenian national champion in street basketball in the dunk competition.
