Cedevita Olimpija has beaten Partizan Mozzart Bet in the derby game of the tenth round of the AdmiralBet ABA League on Sunday with the score of 77:74. This is the fourth win in a row in the regional competition for the squad, led from the bench by head coach Jurica Golemac.
What a derby night in Ljubljana! In the NLB Match of the Round 10, Cedevita Olimpija have prevailed over Partizan Mozzart bet in front of 5.000 fans in Stožice Arena after a dramatic ending. It has been a game, which could have gone either way all until the end and in the very finish, the Dragons of Ljubljana turned out to be more focused when it mattered the most, taking away the win, their seventh this season in the regional competition and they are now on a 7:2 record after 9 games played.
It has really been a close game throughout the playing time and either of the two teams could grab a win this time. However, Cedevita Olimpija were the ones that were more determined in their desire to grab a win this time and came with a comeback late in the game. With 4 and a half minutes left in the game, the visiting side were up by 4 points (68:72) and that’s when Cedevita Olimpija went on a 7:0 run, during which Yogi Ferrell scored 5 points, which ended only in a final minute, for the 75:72 lead and with that lead they entered the final minute. In the finish, Partizan Mozzart Bet just did not manage to fight back once more and the Dragons celebrated.
