Cedevita Olimpija defeated Krka 91–74 in the second game of the national championship finals on Saturday at Stožice, taking a 2–0 lead in the series for the national title.

In front of their home fans on Saturday, the Ljubljana Dragons took another step toward defending their national championship title. With the victory over Krka from Novo Mesto, they moved ahead 2–0 in the national championship final series and are now just one win away from securing their sixth consecutive Slovenian national championship. The third game of the finals is scheduled for Monday at 6:00 p.m. in Novo Mesto.


GAME REPORT:

Krka got off to the better start, leading by eight points after the first quarter. However, the Dragons responded decisively in the second period and went into the locker room with a two-point advantage (51–49).

In the second half, the home team completely took control of the game. When Thomas Kennedy scored in the 29th minute, Cedevita Olimpija had extended its lead to 15 points (72–57). The remainder of the game brought no comeback, and Zvezdan Mitrović’s team celebrated its second victory in the finals series.

DJ Stewart scored 27 points for Cedevita Olimpija. Umoja Gibson added 15 points, David Škara scored 13, and Aleksej Nikolić contributed 10.
