Cedevita Olimpija and Chechu Mulero Continue Their Journey Together

Basketball Club Cedevita Olimpija has extended its cooperation with Sports Director Chechu Mulero, who will continue to play an important role in the development and implementation of the club’s sporting strategy. The Spaniard will remain a member of the Dragons family for at least the next two seasons.

Chechu Mulero joined Cedevita Olimpija ahead of the 2024/25 season, and during his tenure overseeing the club’s sporting operations, the senior team has achieved notable success on both the regional and international stages. Over the past two seasons, the Dragons have reached the quarter-finals of both the EuroCup and the ABA League on two occasions, while also adding all available domestic trophies to the club’s trophy cabinet.

Special mention should also be made of the achievements of the club’s youth teams, both domestically and internationally. In the 2025/26 season, Cedevita Olimpija’s Under-18 team competed in the final stage of the EuroLeague’s adidas NextGen tournament in Athens, while the Under-19 team secured third place at the ABA League Final Eight tournament. The young Dragons also enjoyed considerable success in competitions organised under the auspices of the Basketball Federation of Slovenia.

Upon extending his contract, Chechu Mulero said: “I am happy to remain part of Cedevita Olimpija. In a short period of time, we have built a stable and ambitious environment in Ljubljana that enables the development of both players and the team. New challenges await us in the upcoming season, but I believe that together we can continue this successful story and bring joy to our fans.”
