Devin Robinson joins Cedevita Olimpija!

Ljubljana’s Cedevita Olimpija has strengthened its roster with the addition of 29-year-old, 203 cm tall Devin Robinson. Last season, Robinson played for Manresa and has experience in the NBA, EuroCup, and Basketball Champions League.

The senior team of Cedevita Olimpija has introduced a new reinforcement at the power forward position. Devin Robinson has joined the Dragons, signing a one-year contract with the Ljubljana club. He moves to the Slovenian capital from Spanish team Manresa, where he played in the Basketball Champions League and the Spanish national championship over the past two seasons. Martinas Geben also moved from Manresa to Cedevita Olimpija this summer, and the two players will reunite, this time in the Dragons’ jersey.

“Devin Robinson brings experience from various levels of competition to our team. We know he is an energetic player with a very good character, who will significantly contribute to our team with his style of play. We expect him to bring energy and passion to the court every time he steps on it in the Cedevita Olimpija jersey and to help us achieve success,” said Chechu Mulero, the sports director of the Ljubljana club, upon signing Robinson.

“Devin Robinson played together with Martinas Geben in Manresa, which is a certain advantage since the players know each other, so the coordination of the center line will be much easier. He is a talented player, and with his game, Prepelič’s energy, and other players who can help us, the power forward position is well covered,” said the head coach of the senior team, Zvezdan Mitrović, upon announcing the signing of the contract with Robinson.

The club competes at a high level, it’s a professional organization that plays with character and heart. I wanted to be a part of that,” said Devin Robinson upon signing with Cedevita Olimpija.

Devin Robinson spent his college career with the Florida Gators and played mainly in the NBA G-League from 2017 to 2021, with some time in the NBA itself. In the world’s strongest league, he wore the Washington Wizards jersey during the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons, playing eight games. He averaged 13.5 minutes on the court, scoring 6.1 points and grabbing 3.1 rebounds per game. In the G-League, he played for teams like the Delaware 87ers, Westchester Knicks, Capital City Go-Go, Raptors 905, and Fort Wayne Mad Ants. In his last G-League season (2020/21), he averaged 15.1 points and 8.6 rebounds per game over 14 games.

In the 2021/22 season, he played in Taiwan for the Taoyuan Pilots and in Puerto Rico for the Quebradillas Pirates, followed by a move to ratiopharm Ulm, where he experienced EuroCup play for the first time in the 2022/23 season. He then moved to Manresa, where he finished the 2023/24 competitive season. In the EuroCup, he played in four games, averaging 9.2 points and 6.0 rebounds in just under 20 minutes per game.

In the Manresa jersey, he also competed in the Basketball Champions League, appearing in nine games and averaging 16.1 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. In the 2023/24 season, he played in 34 regular-season games of the Spanish national championship, averaging 14.0 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.
