Brandon Murray will strengthen Cedevita Olimpija’s senior team in the 2026/27 season. The American guard spent his first professional season with GGD Šenčur, where he drew attention with strong performances during the 2025/26 campaign. In the 2026/27 season, he will become part of the Dragons family.

The 196-centimeter-tall guard will join Cedevita Olimpija for the 2026/27 season after making his professional debut in 2025/26. He represented GGD Šenčur in the Slovenian National Championship and, prior to that, spent four seasons competing in the American NCAA. He concluded his collegiate career with the McNeese Cowboys. Murray has signed a two-year contract with the Ljubljana club.

“Brandon Murray made his first appearances as a professional player with Šenčur during the 2025/26 season and demonstrated quality, but above all a desire to improve and a willingness to work hard. We believe he still has significant room for development. We are pleased that he will continue his career with Cedevita Olimpija, where new challenges on the international stage await him,” said Cedevita Olimpija’s Sporting Director, Chechu Mulero.

“Brandon is a player who possesses potential on both ends of the floor, offensively and defensively. In his first professional season, he showed that he can adapt well and contribute to the team, and now he will look to earn his place at an even higher level,” said Dragons head coach Zvezdan Mitrović.

“I’m very excited. Joining Cedevita Olimpija represents the next step in my career. I’ve been given the opportunity to compete on one of the biggest stages and play for a club in a country where people truly care about basketball and their culture. I’m really happy to become part of this environment and grateful for the opportunity to wear the Cedevita Olimpija jersey,” said Murray.

During the 2025/26 season, Murray appeared in 29 Slovenian National Championship games for GGD Šenčur and was the team’s second-leading scorer with an average of 14.0 points per game. He also averaged 3.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists per contest. Murray also competed in the Spar Cup, where he averaged 9.8 points per game across eight appearances.

He faced Cedevita Olimpija in the Slovenian National Championship semifinals during the 2025/26 season. In the first game in Šenčur, he recorded 18 points and four assists in 33 minutes of action. In the second meeting at Arena Stožice, he added eight points, three rebounds, and two assists.

Before arriving in Europe, Murray spent four seasons competing in the NCAA. His most successful collegiate campaign came in the 2022/23 season with the Georgetown Hoyas, when he averaged 13.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game. He completed his college career in the 2024/25 season with the McNeese Cowboys, where he averaged 7.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game.
