We will be able to continue to follow Zoran Dragić in the Cedevita Olimpija jersey, who joined the Ljubljana team in the middle of the season behind us, and right away become one of the most important players in the rotation of Dragons.
Zoran Dragić stays in Ljubljana! Recall, the popular ‘Zoki’ joined the Dragons in the middle of the 2021/22 competition season and immediately became one of the leaders of the squad of head coach Jurica Golemac.
“Ljubljana is my home, so I am happy to remain part of Cedevita Olimpija. A new season is ahead for our team, which brings new challenges,” said Dragić. “We want to achieve the best possible final result in the 7DAYS EuroCup and the regional league, and I believe that the fans will stand behind us in all our matches and once again conjure up a great basketball atmosphere in Stožice and Tivoli.”
Dragić can boast the title of Spanish national champion from 2020, three titles of Slovenian national champion (2011, 2012, 2022) and cup champion (2010, 2011, 2022), and in 2011 he was also the Most Valuable Player in the finals of the Slovenian national championship. The 33-year-old and 196-centimeter-tall basketball player also has the title of Turkish and Italian cup champion and two Italian super cup titles in his pocket.
In the 2021/22 season, Zoran Dragić played in 12 7DAYS EuroCup matches and averaged 10.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 0.7 steals per game. In the regional league, Zoran stepped on the floor in 16 games and recorded 12.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.1 steals per game. With the Dragons, Dragić became the Slovenian Cup winner in February and the Slovenian national champion in May.
Also this summer, Dragić is part of the Slovenian men’s national team, for which he also competed at the Olympic Games in Tokyo last summer among other international competitions.
