Victory over Germany for the semifinals of the Olympic Games
The players of the Slovenian men’s national team secured a place in the semifinals by winning the quarterfinal match of the Olympic Games in Tokyo against Germany (94:70).
Slovenia is among the top four national teams at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. The selected players of the selector Aleksander Sekulić defeated Germany in the quarterfinal match with the score 94:70 on Tuesday, and in the semifinals the Slovenes will face the winners of the match between Italy and France.
The Slovenian national team started the game decisively, and in the second quarter, the German players established a balance on the floor. This did not confuse the European champions from 2017, after the main break they put things back in their place and in the end were looking forward to a reliable victory.
Jaka Blažič scored nine points, Žiga Dimec had five points, and Edo Murić scored three points. Luka Rupnik dished out one assist.
