Victory at the Day of Cedevita Basketball Family in Zagreb

In the Dom Košarke Cedevita Sports Hall, a Day of the Cedevita Basketball Family has taken place and in the wonderful atmosphere, first the junior squads have faced each other, following a clash of two senior squads.

The score on Monday in Zagreb was not in focus. Cedevita Olimpija and Cedevita Junior have demonstrated what a link between both clubs means and have arranged a true festival of basketball.

In the first game, the junior squads of both clubs have stepped on court and the fans were able to see plenty of talened youngsters, that will be the makers of future successes by both Cedevita Olimpija and Cedevita junior. In the friendly atmosphere, the hosts have won the game 59:50.

The clash of two senior squads has been ceremonial since the beginning, since both clubs have honoured Vlado Ilievski and Marino Baždarić, which used to play for both Ljubljana and Zagreb clubs in the past and now they are in different roles in the management of Cedevita basketball family.

In Zagreb, the numbers haven’t been in focus, since it has been evindent that after a bit more than a week of preseason period, the legs of the players have been heavy and despite that the Dragons have won the first half by 32 points (57:25), and they sticked on to their lead all until the end of the game, when they celebrated the win in the end with the final score of 103:70. Simone Pianigiani has therefore written down a win in his first game on the bench of Cedevita Olimpija.
