Cedevita Olimpija is back on the court after a competition break due to the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers. On Sunday at 19.00, the Dragons will face Igokea m:tel in Round 20 of the AdmiralBet ABA League regular season.

After the competition break, Cedevita Olimpija will face Igokea m:tel in Round 20 of the AdmiralBet ABA League on Sunday at 19.00 in Stožice Arena. The Dragons will seek for the win to keep them among the best teams in the standings, as the regular season is slowly coming to a close. On the other end, Igokea will try to get back on the winning track, and cut the streak of nine straight defeats against the squad from Ljubljana.

“Finally we had enough players in training. We were also waiting the competition break to rest. We gave the boys a few days of rest before this last period of the season. I have to be satisfied because the guys worked hard and trained well. Most of the players were here, that’s why we made good use of this period. We can’t wait for the new matches to start,” said Cedevita Olimpija’s head coach, Jurica Golemac, after the competition break, while also looking ahead to Sunday’s match with Igokea. “Igokea is a very high-quality team. Compared to the beginning of the season, our rivals have made some changes to their roster and they also have a new head coach. We have a quality team coming to us, although they are currently in a small result crisis, but they have their ups and downs in their game, just like us. We must not relax. We are preparing for Sunday’s game very focused. We know where the greatest danger will come from. We will do everything to start the last part of the season with a win.”

“The competitive break was welcome for the whole team. We had enough time to rest and at the same time properly prepare for the last part of the competitive season. A few guys were missing due to national team activities, but we all trained very well. Now we are in full formation and preparing for the upcoming clash with Igokea. The latter is a very dangerous team and urgently needs a win. Our rivals are at the bottom of the standings, but they certainly have the quality to beat anyone,” said Cedevita Olimpija captain Edo Murić before Sunday’s match.
