Robinson: Through the ups and downs let’s remain as one

We talked with the new reinforcement of Cedevita Olimpija Devin Robinson upon joining the squad for the 2024/25 season.

In the past two seasons, basketball fans have seen Devin Robinson play for the Spanish team Manresa, which competed in the Spanish national championship. In the 2022/23 season, they reached the quarterfinals of the Basketball Champions League. In the new season, he will wear the Cedevita Olimpija jersey for the first time in his career.

“They can expect a hard working, passion forward player that will do whatever it takes to win!”

In the coming season, Robinson will play in our region for the first time, and he will also get to know Ljubljana and Slovenia. In the 2022/23 season, he played for ratiopharm Ulm, which was in the same regular-season group as Cedevita Olimpija at the time, but he never faced the Dragons.

“To be honest, I don’t know much about the club other than that they compete at a high level and are a very professional organization that plays with character and heart. That is something I want to be a part of. So I’ve done some research on my own and I’ve come to see that Ljubljana is a very clean and green country. The people are very friendly and the culture is historic with a newly modern flare to it.”

After almost two seasons, Robinson is returning to the EuroCup, and for the first time, he will play in the AdmiralBet ABA League.

“Personally the only expectations I have is just to compete with the best of them. I want to be able to earn more respect and be labelled one of the top teams in the league.”

The start of preparations for the new season is approaching quickly. Does Devin have any message for the fans before coming to Ljubljana?

“Let’s go! Through the ups and downs let’s remain as one! It’s gonna be an exciting year. Let’s make some noise this season!!”
