The member team of Cedevita Olimpija will be able to count on Marko Radovanović in the position of power forward in the new competition season. The 25-year-old and 209-centimeter-tall Serbian basketball player, who has practically spent his entire career in the FMP jersey, will enter his first season in the Dragons jersey.
Marko Radovanović is one of the first foreign basketball players of Cedevita Olimpija to join the training of the member team. He arrived in Ljubljana a good week ago, and in the week behind us he got to know the way head coach Jurica Golemec works, and he is still waiting to get to know his teammates, as the training process is currently underway.
“The first week is behind us. We continue to get to know each other and adapt to each other, and we are also waiting for other players to join us. For now, everything is going as it should,” says Radovanović after the introductory week of the preparation period. “I think we will work great together. However, we are really just at the beginning of the preparations and I will be able to say much more when all the missing players join us.”
The first preparatory matches will follow soon. On Saturday, August 28, at Rogla, the people of Ljubljana will face the introductory test of the preparation period with Oldenburg.
“We train with all our might, and the great emphasis is on getting to know each other. If everything goes as it should, a very good season is ahead of us. We will soon have the first tests in the preparatory matches and we will see how we do. “
Marko spends his time in the city center, where he also has an apartment, and recently his chosen one joined him in the Slovenian capital.
“Ljubljana is beautiful. We have an apartment directly in the city center, so I had the opportunity to take a little walk and see the city sights. The city center itself is certainly the most beautiful of all the cities I’ve been to so far. For the time being, I’m really only moving around the very center of the city, and I haven’t got to know Slovenia in more detail yet. “
For Radovanović, the season ahead will be the first in which he will also test himself on one of the largest European basketball stages. He is aware that the challenge is great, and he also touched on the ambitions of the Ljubljana club.
“I can only say the best things about Cedevita Olimpija. I know that everyone who is part of this collective has high ambitions and high goals. I hope that I will be able to help on the way to achieving all the set goals. “
As it is written, Cedevita Olimpija will play its first preparatory match, which will be closed to the public, on August 28 in the Rogla Sports Hall, followed two days later by a home match against Mitteldeutscher, which will also be closed to the public. The people of Ljubljana will present themselves to the fans on Monday, September 6, when Bayern Basketball is coming to Stožice.
