Zmaga nad Ilirijo in lepa prednost pred drugo tekmo

Cedevita Olimpija senior team has prevailed over Ilirija with the score of 97:80 in the Game 1 of the Spar Cup Quarterfinals. The second game is coming up on 10 February in Stožice.

Cedevita Olimpija started the chase for the 24th Slovenian National Cup trophy with a win in the first Quarterfinal game of the Spart Cup in Tivoli Sports Hall against Ilirija. The score on the scoreboard in the legendary arena has been 97:80 at the end of the game, in favour of the Dragons, that have earned themselves a nice advantage ahead of the Game 2, that will take place in Stožice on 10 February.

For Cedevita Olimpija this is the 9th win in the last 10 games. In 2024, only one test remains upon the Ljubljan side, as they will be facing Partizan Mozzart Bet on the road on Monday. Afterwards they will travel to Panevežys, where they will meet Lietkabelis on 2 January.

Cedevita Olimpija started the game in Tivoli well, but the hosts have found balance quickly and departed to the big break with an advantage of 3 points (43:40). After arriving from the locker room, the Dragons moved up one gear, started shining on the offensive end as well and snatched a big win in the end.

DeVante Jones has been the most efficient in scoring this time, as he scored 20 points, while Aleksej Nikolić and Rok Radović had 18 points apiece.
