In its fourth game this season in the regional competition, Cedevita Olimpija has grabbed its third win, as it has prevailed over MZT Skopje Aerodrom in Tivoli Sports Hall with the final score of 93:73.
Cedevita Olimpija got back to the winning track in the fifth round of the season at home in Tivoli Sports Hall, as they have prevailed over MZT Skopje Aerodrom. Cedevita Olimpija were in front for the majority of the game and have in the end deservedly grabbed a win. For the green and orange squad, this is the third win in four games played so far in the AdmiralBet ABA League and they keep their spot in the upper half of the standings.
The Dragons have been in front for the majority of the first half, but never truly managed to pull away until the finish of the second quarter, when Yogi Ferrell was fouled and put in all three free throw attempts just before the end of the first half, he took his team up by 8 points (44:36) and that was also the score of the first half. However, Cedevita Olimpija completely pulled away from their opponents at the opening of the second half, when they made a 5:0 run, which put them up by 13 points (49:36), after only a minute played in the third. That’s where the outcome of the game was decided.
The visiting side tried their best in order to fight back in the remaining two quarters, but just did not manage to threaten to take away the lead from the hosts, that have eventually prevailed with the final score of 93:73.
For Cedevita Olimpija, Alen Omić led the way in scoring this time, as he scored 19 points, while Yogi Ferrell followed him with 16 on his record.
The next test awaits the Ljubljana powerhouse on Wednesday, when they will meet Umana Reyer of Venice on the road in the 7DAYS EuroCup in pursuit of their first win of the European season.
