In the second game of the Quarterfinal series against Šentjur, Cedevita Olimpija has celebrated a win with the final score of 91:65, swept the series with a 2:0 score in victories and secured itself a spot in the Semifinals, where it will face either GGD Šenčur or Ilirija.
Cedevita Olimpija have reached the Semifinals of the second competition within a few days. After qualifying for the Semifinals of the AdmiralBet ABA League on Saturday as they beat FMP Soccerbet 2:1 in the Quarterfinal series, they have now done the same against Šentjur in the Nova KBM League, this time with a 2:0 score in victories and qualified for the Semifinals.
In the Semifinal series, the Dragons will face the winner of the Quarterfinal series between GGD Šenčur and Ilirija, which are currently tied 1:1 in their series.
After a reserved start of the game, the Dragons pushed up one gear at the start of the second quarter and converted their 4-point lead after 10 minutes of the game (20:16) into a 14-point lead (41:21), with 2 minutes to go in the second quarter, with a 21:5 run at the opening of the second period. As it turned out later in the game, Šentjur squad just did not manage to return into the battle for a win again all until the end of the game in Stožice and these were indeed the key moments of the clash.
For Cedevita Olimpija, Zoran Dragić led the way in scoring with 15 points on his record, while Amar Alibegović added 13.
