A convincing victory for first place in the Top 6

The basketball players of Cedevita Olimpija defeated Rogaška with the score 88:66 in the seventh round of the Nova KBM League on the road in Rogaška Slatina.

The Cedevita Olimpija team will start its journey towards the first national title after 2018 from the best starting point. The team of head coach Jurica Golemac in Rogaška Slatina reliably defeated Rogaška (88:66) in the seventh round of the Nova KBM League Championship Stage, thus storing the seventh victory in the second part of the national championship, the fifth in a row in the second part of the competition.

The hosts resisted well in the Rogaška Slatina Sports Hall only in the first half. The fate of the Spar Cup is also known. The executive proposal of the Basketball Association of Slovenia has adopted a proposal to amend the competition rules, exclusively for the 2020/21 season. At the end of the jubilee 20th edition of the Spar Cup, eight first-placed teams will take part after the second part of the Liga Nova KBM competition, and the teams will qualify directly for the quarterfinals of the cup competition. In the quarterfinals, which will take place on Tuesday, May 11, the teams will play one match, and the home team will have the advantage of the higher ranked team after the second part of the Nova KBM League. The winners of the quarter-final matches advance to the semi-finals. The quarterfinal pairs will be determined by a draw. The final tournament of the quartet will take place on May 22 and 23.
