In the Tivoli Sports Hall, Cedevita Olimpija has suffered a defeat by Cibona. The Zagreb squad has been better than Jurica Golemac’s team with the score of 84:80.
Cedevita Olimpija’s 15 games long winning streak in the international competitions is over. On Sunday, Cibona has beaten the Dragons in Tivoli Hall 84:80. In the regional competition and the 7DAYS EuroCup, the green and orange have been defeated for the first time after 30 January, when Budućnost VOLI has been stronger than them in Morača.
Cedevita Olimpija have opened the game well, leading by 7 points after the opening quarter (29:22). Afterwards, hosts opened the second quarter with a 20:8 run, that put them up 49:30 in the 18th minute. However, Cibona fought back and in the final quarter, they even managed to get in front with 3 minutes and a half remaining (75:76). The Wolves pushed further and eventually increased their advantage to 4 points in the end and Cedevita Olimpija were unable to turn the game upside-down again. The Zagreb squad celebrated.
Zoran Dragić was the top scorer of the Ljubljana team with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Edo Murić had 14 points and 10 rebounds. Alen Omić added 13 points, while captain Jaka Blažič and Yogi Ferrell had 10.
