The basketball players of Cedevita Olimpija suffered a defeat in Istanbul on Wednesday in the Group A derby of the BKT EuroCup against Bahçeşehir (92:76). For the Dragons, this was their first loss of the EuroCup season after three consecutive victories.
After three straight wins to start the new BKT EuroCup season, Cedevita Olimpija’s players fell on Wednesday in Istanbul in the Round 4 Group A clash against Bahçeşehir, with a final score of 92:76. In just a week, head coach Zvezdan Mitrović’s team will face another European test, as Neptūnas Klaipėda visits Stožice on Wednesday. Before that, on Saturday at 7:30 p.m., the Dragons will play an away game in Sarajevo, where they will face home side Bosna in the 4th round of the AdmiralBet ABA League regular season.
GAME REPORT:
The game was largely decided in the first quarter, which the home team won by 13 points (27:14). Cedevita Olimpija managed to reduce the deficit to just seven points by halftime and did everything possible to turn the tide of the game, but unsuccessfully — the Turkish team found an answer for every surge from the Dragons.
