Cedevita Olimpija has beaten Zadar 97:79 in the eighth round of the AdmiralBet ABA League season and grabbed its second straight win in the regional competition.
Cedevita Olimpija squad is back on the winning track, after Saturday’s game in Tivoli Sports Hall against Zadar. The Dragons have beaten the Dalmatians 97:79 and grabbed their fifth win in the regional league season.
In the last game on schedule on Saturday night, Cedevita Olimpija have prevailed over Zadar at home in their Tivoli Sports Hall in Ljubljana. This is the second win in a row for the green and orange squad of Ljubljana and their 5th this season in 7 games played so far and are looking good in their Playoffs race.
With 6 minutes into the game, the two squads have still been separated by only a point, when Cedevita Olimpija were up 10:9. However, in the following minute and a half, the Dragons of Ljubljana have made a 9:1 run, which put them up 19:10. As it turned out later in the game, Zadar simply did not manage to fight back afterwards, so these were the key moments of the game in Tivoli.
Yogi Ferrell was the top scorer of Cedevita Olimpija with 22 points on his record, while adding 5 rebounds and just as many assists to his stats. Amar Alibegović had 14 points, Karlo Matković 12 and Marko Jeremić 11.
