At home in Stožice Arena in Ljubljana, Cedevita Olimpija have prevailed over Igokea m:tel in an important clash for Top 4 spots in the Regular Season.

In a game, where the Dragons have been in front for the majority of the playing time, they have grabbed their 12th win of the season, that puts them on a 12:5 record after 17 rounds, keeping their position in the Top 4 in the standings. At the end of the game in Stožice, the score on the scoreboard has been 106:74 in favour of the Dragons.

The next game for Cedevita Olimpija is coming up on Wednesday, when the Ljubljana squad will travel to Hamburg to meet Veolia Towers.

GAME REPORT:

With a minute and a half to go in the first quarter, Kosta Kondić scored to bring Igokea m:tel close to only 2 points of margin (20:18). However, Igosi did not manage to score until the end of the quarter and with a 7:0 run, Cedevita Olimpija have pulled away to a 9-point lead (27:18) at the end of the first period. These were the key moments of the game, as the visiting side did not manage to make it anybody’s game again until the end afterwards.

In the remainder of the game, the squad, led from the bench by head coach Zoran Martić have furtherly increased their advantage and cruised to the big win in the end.

It has been big man Karlo Matković, that has steered the way to the important win for Cedevita Olimpija this time around, as he had 17 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocks, 1 assist and a valution of 26 on his record. Gregor Glas had 19 points, Zoran Dragić 16 and Jaka Blažič 11.
