Cedevita Olimpija suffered a defeat in the Round 14 of the AdmiralBet ABA League on the road in Belgrade against Mega MIS (97:86).

Cedevita Olimpija is coming back home from the last game in the 2023 after a defeat in Belgrade against Mega MIS in the Round 14 of the AdmiralBet ABA League. The scoreboard in the Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall in Belgrade has been showing the score of 97:86 at the end of the game.

Despite the defeat, the Dragons keep their position at the second place in the standings, which they are now sharing with Partizan Mozzart Bet. Only Crvena zvezda Meridianbet are now placed ahead of them.

GAME REPORT:

Mega MIS have fallen behind in the opening quarter by 9 points, but managed to cut the gap to only 3 points by halftime. However, the key moments of the game perhaps came in the opening minutes of the second half, when Mega MIS went on an 18:5 run, that gave them the double-digit lead (56:46) midway through the third quarter. Cedevita Olimpija did manage to fight back in the remainder of the game and even tied the clash again at 60:60 with 2 minutes to go in the third, but Mega pulled away again. Their 11:3 run between 34th and 37th minute of the game, put them up by 10 points again (84:74). With 3 minutes to go, it has been impossible for the Dragons to return into the battle for a pair of points again.

Justin Cobbs has found himself atop of the list of scorers of the Ljubljana squad with 22 points scored and 9 assists dished out. Jaka Blažič had 18 points and 5 rebounds, Karlo Matković 15 points and 8 rebounds, DJ Stewart 11 points and Gregor Glas 10 points.
