Cedevita Olimpija has prevailed over SC Derby in the Round 13 of the AdmiralBet ABA League Regular Season, got back on the winning track and at the same time grabbed 5th win in a row in the regional competition.
Cedevita Olimpija senior squad continues putting on a series of successful games in the AdmiralBet ABA League. The Ljubljan side has prevailed over SC Derby in the Round 13 of the regional competition with the final score of 100:86, written down fifth win in a row in the regional competition and got back on the winning track following Wednesday’s defeat vs. Turk Telekom in the BKT EuroCup.
This has been the last test for the squad, led from the bench by head coach Zvezdan Mitrović, on home court in 2024. They will finish the year with two straight games on the road – on Thursday, 13.00, they will be facing Ilirija in the Spar Cup Quarterfinals Round 1, while four days later they travel to Belgrade to meet Partizan Mozzart Bet in the Round 14 of the AdmiralBet ABA League Regular Season.
GAME REPORT:
Cedevita Olimpija pulled away by 11 points in the opening quarter, but this did not stop SC Derby from keeping up the fighting spirit. By halftime, they have cut the gap between the two squads to only 4 points (46:42), while they took their first lead of the game in the 24th minute of the game, when they went up 50:52. However, the Dragons did not take long to reply. They finished the quarter with a 19:3 run and led by 14 points (69:55) after 30 minutes of play.
