In the opening game of the Satruday’s AdmiralBet ABA League schedule, Cedevita Olimpija have claimed a win in the local derby against Krka at home in Tivoli Sports Hall in Ljubljana. It is not only a prestigious win for Cedevita Olimpija due to the importance of the local rivalry, but also their 9th win of the AdmiralBet ABA League season and the 9:3 record will keep them amongst the top four teams when the Round 12 is over.

It’s worth mentioning, that Karlo Matković of Cedevita Olimpija has entered the AdmiralBet ABA League history books, as he has collected no less than 9 blocks, which is more than the previous AdmiralBet ABA League single-game shot-blocking record (7).

Also, Jaka Blažič moved one place up in the all-time scorers list, as he scored 21 points in the game against Krka. He is now occupying the 9th place in the AmiralBet ABA League scorers list of all time with 2443 points scored in his career in the regional competition.

Cedevita Olimpija have entered the game powerfully and have earned themselves the first double-digit lead with 2 less than minutes to go in the first quarter (25:15). Afterwards, Krka did not manage to threaten to take away the lead from the Ljubljana squad and these turned out to be the key moments of the game in Tivoli Sports Hall. The Dragons did not let go of their lead and in the end they have prevailed with the final score of 91:79.
