Cedevita Olimpija has ended the March Madness in the best possible way. In the 17th round game of the 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season, the Dragons have beaten Valencia 82:76 and made a decisive step towards securing the home court advantage in the Playoffs.
The Cedevita Olimpija squad continues with the undefeated streak in the international competitions. On Wednesday, the team of Ljubljana beat Valenca in the last home game of the 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season with the score of 82:76 and grabbed its seventh straight win in the European competition and 13th win in a row in the international competitions.
Cedevita Olimpija hasn’t suffered a single scratch in the both international competitions combined in the month of March. The squad, led by Jurica Golemac from the bench, has suffered its last defeat in the end of January in Podgorica and ever since won seven straight wins in the 7DAYS EuroCup and six in the regional competition. The Dragons’ young squad was the only to suffer two defeats in the domestic championship in this period.
The Dragons have started the game in an excellent manner and have been in front by 13 points by halftime. In the second time, the visiting side managed to cut the gap, but not to also turn the game completely upside-down. Cedevita Olimpija celebrated an 82:76 win.
For the hosts, Zoran Dragić led the way in scoring with 17 points, while Jaka Blažič was the one to follow him with 13.
The next game is coming up for Cedevita Olimpijaw on Sunday, when it will play on the road in the regional league against SC Derby in Podgorica. The Ljubljana squad will be back on European courts next Wednesday, when they will be facing Promitheas on the road in Patras.
