Last away game of the season in 7DAYS EuroCup

Cedevita Olimpija is off to Brescia for the last away game in the 7DAYS EuroCup, as the Dragons face Germani Brescia in Round 17 of the regular season.

Brescia (7-9) will try to put an end to a two-game slide when it hosts Cedevita Olimpija (3-13), which has already been eliminated from postseason contention. The hosts enter the week in seventh place, but only two wins behind the pack of teams tied for third and could conceivably still finish among the top four if it wins out. Amedeo Della Valle scored 19 to lead Brescia to an 80-83 victory in the Slovenian capital when they met in December.

“Brescia is a very experienced team, in which the roles are divided among the players. The fact that Brescia won the title of Italian Cup champion is a testament to the quality of the team, and I congratulate them for the Cup, as it is a great success. We are going to Brescia with our goals in mind. In offense and defense, we want to correct the details and thus raise the quality of our game. At the same time, we want to use the match to improve the form of some players. We still have a lot to spare in this aspect. I want the guys to play with energy, not to give up, to fight until end, and to stick to the game plan.”
