Cedevita Olimpija and the captain of the Ljubljana team, Jaka Blažič, continue their cooperation. Blažič, who has won three national championship titles with the Dragons since 2019, will stay in the Slovenian capital at least until the end of the 2025/26 season.

“Jaka Blažič is the captain and leader of Cedevita Olimpija and we’re very glad that we managed to come to an agreement to extend his contract, and that he will remain part of the Dragons Family for at least two more seasons. We all know, what he is capable of, and we know, that he will be very motivated in the upcoming season. With him having the summer to heal and prepare himself for the season, we can’t wait to see him back on the court in full strenght,” said Sports Director of Cedevita Olimpija, Chechu Mulero.

“Jaka Blažič is a good man and the leader of Cedevita Olimpija. I have been following him for a long time and know his qualities. He has incredible energy and a positive attitude towards work. A great professional who definitely deserves the place of captain in our team. We are very happy that he is staying with us and extended his contract at the same time. I hope that he is at full strength as soon as possible, and that he starts working, and that we start the season in the best possible shape,” said Head Coach of Cedevita Olimpija, Zvezdan Mitrović.

“I’m staying in Ljubljana for at least two more seasons. I’m very happy that we’ve extended contract, and I think I still have quite a few good performances ahead of me. Cedevita Olimpija is definitely a club where I want to show them. We have a summer to recharge our batteries, and that we come to the preparations motivated,” said the captain of Cedevita Olimpija when the contract was extended, and at the same time expressed his wishes for the new competitive season. “Above all, I want to see a homogenous and united team that will give its best every game and show the club in the best possible light, both in the regional league and in the EuroCup.”
