In Čačak against Borac on Thursday

Cedevita Olimpija will continue with its Serbia trip on Thursday, as the Dragons will face Borac Mozzart at 19.00 in Round 14 of the AdmiralBet ABA League regular season.

As the season shifts to its second half, Cedevita Olimpija is on the road again. This time, the Dragons will face Borac Mozzart in Round 14 of the AdmiralBet ABA League regular season in Borac Sports Hall on Thursday at 19.00. The squad of the head coach Jurica Golemac looks to grab another win in the regional league, to keep themselves among the top teams in the competition.

Thursday’s game in Čačak will be the second game in a row in Serbia for Cedevita Olimpija, as they’ve played Mega MIS on Monday in Belgrade and won with the final score 96:82. Yogi Ferrell and Josh Adams were the top scorers for the Dragons, and each one of them put in 21 points. Cedevita Olimpija will face Borac team, which did not start the season strong, but in the last six games, the squad from Čačak is 3-3. They have lost the last game in the regular season against Budućnost with the score 79:108, and Hunter Hale, which is the most efficient player of Borac this season, had 20 points.

“By visiting Čačak, we continue our mini-tour of Serbia. The match against Borac will certainly not be easy. Our rival plays extremely aggressive and attacking basketball. The locals know basketball, so we expect a full house. We have to prepare in the time we have available to the game and correct some issues compared to the last game. Above all, we must not lose balls and play better defense. We will have to play physical basketball, not leave open shots for our rivals’ snipers and do everything to return to Ljubljana with two more points,” said the head coach of Cedevita Olimpija, Jurica Golemac, before visiting Čačak.

“In Čačak, we expect a full hall of local fans. Every match means a lot to the locals. The hall will therefore certainly be full, and our rivals will be extremely motivated. The Borac team is made up of good players, some new players have also arrived. It is certainly a good team, who knows how to play good basketball. If we want to look forward to a win, we will have to play an even better game than we did in Monday’s test with Mega. The game is very important for us, as is the case with every away game in the regional league. So we are waiting a hot away game in a full hall and it will be necessary to fight for 40 minutes if we want to hope for another victory,” said the captain of Cedevita Olimpija, Edo Murić, before Thursday’s match.
