For the third consecutive win with FMP

Cedevita Olimpija basketball players are facing a new test. FMP from Železnik is coming to the Arena Stožice to the Ljubljana team on Monday at 18.00, and the selected players of head coach Jurica Golemac will try to record their third consecutive victory in the third round of the regional league.

After a break of more than a week, the basketball players of Cedevita Olimpija will host FMP in the third round of the regional competition in Ljubljana’s Arena Stožice on Monday at 18.00. The current Slovenian national champions will try to record their third consecutive victory and in this way keep the beauty of the cone undefeated in the 2021/22 competition season.

Unlike the Dragons, the FMP basketball players started the new regional season with a win and a loss. They experienced the latter in the match of the first round with Budućnost VOLI (72:82), and then the team from Železnik defeated Igokea 89:81 on the home floor on the first day of October. FMP’s top scorers were Marko Radonjić and Nenad Nerandžić, both of whom scored 18 points.

Cedevita Olimpija defeated Borac 85:76 last weekend in Čačak. The top scorer in the green-orange jersey was Jacob Pullen with 23 points. Last season, the Ljubljana team competed with FMP twice, and the home team recorded a victory in both matches. At the end of December 2020, it was 91:88 for FMP in Železnik, and at the end of February this year, the selected players of head coach Jurica Golemac in Stožice celebrated the victory with 94:86.

We certainly do not have an easy match ahead of us, so we prepare and analyze our competitors accordingly. We will wait for them ready to keep our Stožice undefeated. On this occasion, I would like to invite all our fans to the match, as we all want our stands to be more and more full and lively from match to match.”
