Đorđe Adžić assistant to Zvezdan Mitrović

Đorđe Adžić, who comes to Ljubljana from Bayern Basketball, will take over the position of first assistant to head coach Zvezdan Mitrović in Cedevita Olimpija with the start of the new 2024/25 season.

Serbian expert Đorđe Adžić will become the first assistant to the new head coach of Cedevita Olimpija’s team, Zvezdan Mitrović, with the start of the new competitive season 2024/25. Adžić comes to Ljubljana after spending many years on the bench of the German Euroleague team Bayern Basketball, and before that he was part of the coaching staff in Anadolu Efes, where he worked together with the legendary Dušan Ivković, and Budućnost Podgorica.

Before coming to Ljubljana, Adžić also worked in Ušće, Vizura, and Mega, among others, and spent part of his career as a scout for NBA teams. He was part of the professional staffs of the junior national team selections of the Serbian national teams, among them was the team that won the silver medal at the world championship in the Czech Republic with Nikola Jokić and Vasilije Micić. In 2013, Slovenian basketball fans also had the opportunity to watch him on the bench of the Serbian national team at the EuroBasket in Slovenia.
