Cedevita Olimpija’s senior team will participate in the BKT EuroCup for the seventh consecutive season in 2025/26.
The team will continue its journey on the European stage, where it has left a significant mark over the past six seasons. They reached the quarterfinals twice, advanced to the top 16 once, and concluded the competition after the regular season three times.
In the 2024/25 season, under head coach Zvezdan Mitrović, the team achieved 10 wins in 18 matches in the highly competitive Group B of the EuroCup regular season. This secured home-court advantage in the round of 16, where they defeated Turkish side Beşiktaş in front of passionate home fans. In the quarterfinals, Bahçeşehir proved stronger in Istanbul, halting Ljubljana’s European campaign.
Alongside Cedevita Olimpija, the 2025/26 EuroCup will feature teams including 7Bet-Lietkabelis Panevezys (Lithuania), Aris Midea Thessaloniki (Greece), Bahcesehir College Istanbul (Turkey), BAXI Manresa (Spain), London Lions (England), Besiktas Fibabanka Istanbul (Turkey), Budućnost VOLI Podgorica (Montenegro), Cosea JL Bourg-en-Bresse (France), Dolomiti Energia Trento (Italy), Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem (Israel), Neptunas Klaipeda (Lithuania), NINERS Chemnitz (Germany), Panionios Athens (Greece), ratiopharm Ulm (Germany), Slask Wroclaw (Poland), Turk Telekom Ankara (Turkey), U-BT Cluj-Napoca (Romania), Umana Reyer Venice (Italy), and Veolia Towers Hamburg (Germany).
The new BKT EuroCup season will tip off on September 30 or October 1, and Ljubljana fans are eagerly awaiting the first games of their Dragons.
