Bine Prepelič out of the court for extended period

The power forward of Cedevita Olimpija’s senior team, Bine Prepelič, suffered a fracture of the metacarpal bone in his right hand during the Slovenian national team’s training camp. Due to the injury, Prepelič will be sidelined for an extended period, with the club’s medical staff set to determine, after further examinations, whether surgical intervention will be necessary.

Prepelič sustained the injury during the final national team practice on Tuesday, prior to their departure for Portugal on Wednesday. The national team’s medical staff conducted an examination with the player from Slovenska Bistrica on Tuesday evening, confirming a fracture of the metacarpal bone in his right hand.

As a result, Prepelič has already left the national team camp. A decision regarding the need for surgery will be made on Monday following additional evaluations. The injury will keep Prepelič off the court for an extended time.
