Cedevita Olimpija squad has prevailed over Igokea on Saturday night in Laktaši with the score of 101:83 and returned to the wininng track with authority.
In the sixth round of the regional competition, Cedevita Olimpija has written down third win in the new season in Laktaši. The Ljubljana players have demonstrated a fantastic performance in the third quarter, to break the resistance of Igokea and earned themselves a comfortable win over the semi-finalists of the previous season. In the Laktaši Sports Hall, the scoreboard has been showing the result 101:83 in favour of the green and orange after 40 minutes of the game.
Melvin Ejim has demonstrated a fantastic performance, missing a double-double by a single rebound, while scoring 22 points. Jacob Pullen and Marcus Keene have stopped at 19 points, while Pullen had 7 and Keene 5 assists. Zach Auguste also finished his scoring performance at the number of 19.
The team will return to Ljubljana now and next week there will be a new test in the 7DAYS EuroCup coming up. In the third round, the Dragons will travel to Bursa, to meet Frutti Extra Bursaspor and will be chasing their third win in three rounds of the European competition.

“Congratulations to the guys for a very good game and a win in a tough place that Laktaši always is. Our defensive efforts brought us this victory, especially this is the case for the seconed half, as we started to play more aggresively and rebound better. In the first quarter we had a lot of trouble with our defensive rebounding. The defense was not bad, but we lacked energy in rebounding the ball. When we’re in rhythm in offense, we’re hard to stop, as we have a lot of great offensive performers, but without defense, we wouldn’t get this win. I wish Igokea all the best, and we have to move forward.”
