On Wednesday at 18.00, players of Cedevita Olimpija will face the current Czech national champions, Nymburk, behind closed doors of the large cone hall.
Nymburk, the series winner of the Czech national championship, will play in the Stožice Arena on Wednesday, and will face the Cedevita Olimpija players in a preparatory match that will be closed to the public. The Czech team, which also includes the former Dragon, Luka Rupnik, and part of the coaching staff is the Slovenian strategist Aleksander Sekulić, is coming to Ljubljana after beating Prague 93:69 in the last preparatory match.
The Ljubljana Dragons played their first friendly matches last week. They beat Euroleague Bayern (82:74) and lost closely against Ulm (89:90). Now the head coach Jurica Golemac’s team is facing a test against the team that will play in the Basketball Champions League in the 2020/21 competition season.
“Nymburk is a great team, distinguished by the fact that the professional staff has remained unchanged for the last five seasons. The skeleton of the team is made up of the same players as last season, in which they lost very few games. Our midfielders have started preparations in front of us, and there are already quite a few preparatory matches behind them,” said Golemac ahead of the game in Stožice. “We will definitely have a difficult match with a serious opponent, but for us the middle of the match will be a big challenge and a good test.”
The match will be closed to the public.
