Zvezdan Mitrović Named AdmiralBet ABA League Coach of the Season!

Head coach of Cedevita Olimpija Zvezdan Mitrović has been named the AdmiralBet ABA League Coach of the Season for the 2025/26 campaign! The Cedevita Olimpija strategist has led the Dragons to a Top 8 finish for the second consecutive season, where the Ljubljana side now faces a high-stakes quarterfinal clash with Crvena zvezda Meridianbet.

Under Mitrović’s leadership, the Dragons impressed early in the regular season in Group B, recording 11 wins in 16 games to confidently secure a place in the Championship Round. In the TOP 8 phase, the Ljubljana club delivered a series of gritty performances to finish sixth and book a direct spot in the playoffs.

This is not Mitrović’s first major recognition. Back in 2021, he was named EuroCup Coach of the Season, and he also earned the French League Coach of the Season award three times (2017, 2018, and 2021). This latest honor further confirms his outstanding work and lasting impact in Ljubljana.

In the quarterfinals, the Dragons will take on Crvena zvezda from Belgrade. The series tips off next Thursday in Belgrade, with Game 2 set for May 12 at 19:00 in Stožice Arena, where the team will be chasing a breakthrough in front of their home fans. If needed, the decisive Game 3 will be played on May 16, once again in Belgrade.
