We’ll start the season against Gran Canaria

Already on Friday, the day of the group draw for the new 7DAYS EuroCup season, the approximate schedule of the competition in the new 2021/22 season was also known. Cedevita Olimpija is scheduled to begin its regular season on October 20, in the Canary Islands, where the Dragons will clash with Gran Canaria.

Recall, Cedevita Olimpija will start the regular season of the 7DAYS EuroCup in Group B, in which it will face Valencia Basket (Spain), Promitheas Patras (Greece), Gran Canaria (Spain), Buducnost VOLI (Montenegro), Virtus Segafredo Bologna (Italy), JL Bourg en Bresse (France), ratiopharm Ulm (Germany), Frutti Extra Bursaspor (Turkey) and Umana Reyer Venezia (Italy).

The regular part of the season is expected to start on October 20, and the team of head coach Jurica Golemec will play the introductory match in the Gran Canaria Arena in the Canary Islands, where the Dragons will face their home Gran Canaria. The first home match between Ljubljana is expected on October 27, when the French JL Bourg arrives in the Slovenian capital. Next, ratiopharm Ulm is coming to Ljubljana, and a week before that, the Dragons will host Frutti Extra Bursaspor.

The showdown with Budućnost VOLI is expected to follow on November 17 in Podgorica, and Virtus Segafredo Bologna will come to Ljubljana in the next round. A tour of Venice will follow in mid-December, and the last match of the calendar year 2021 brings a duel with Valencia in La Fonteta. Cedevita Olimpija will end the first half of the regular season on November 12, 2022, when the Greek Promitheas arrives in the Slovenian capital.
