Victory over Mitteldeutscher in Stožice

In the second preseason game, Cedevita Olimpija has defeated Mitteldeutscher at home in Stožice Arena in Ljubljana.

In contrast to the first preseason game, which the Dragons have tied in Rogla against Oldenburg, the head coach Jurica Golemac had all of the players at his disposal.

The start of the game brought the advantage of the guests, that have been up by 8 points after the first quarter, but already by halftime, the Dragons have almost completely erased the gap and departed for the big break with only a point of deficit (43:44). In the second half, the green and orange have taken complete control of the game and created themselves a double-digit lead before the final quarter. In the end, they grabbed a 81:69 win.

For the Dragons, newcomer Melvin Ejim topped the list of scorers with 19 points, while captain Jaka Blažič followed with 18.

The Dragons are now heading to the Croatian Istria, where they will take part at the preseason tournament in Opatija. In the Semi-finals, they will take on Italian side Pesaro and the winners of the clash between Partizan NIS and Cibona in the Final.
