In the upcoming 2025/26 season, Cedevita Olimpija’s senior team will be stronger under both rims with the addition of 26-year-old, 208 cm tall Luka Brajković, who joins the Ljubljana club from Turkish side Darüşşafaka.
After finishing his studies in the United States, Brajković gained valuable professional experience in Spain, Greece, Italy, and most recently Turkey. He holds dual citizenship—Austrian and Serbian. With Cedevita Olimpija, Brajković has signed a two-year contract.
“With Luka Brajković, we are adding a quality and versatile frontcourt player to our roster who already has experience from strong European leagues. Our hope is that his physical presence and competitive mindset will be a valuable asset to the team in the new season and that he will contribute significantly to our goals across all competitions,” said Cedevita Olimpija’s Sporting Director, Chechu Mulero, at the signing of the contract.
“Luka is a young player at the center position who, despite his age, already has experience in top-level leagues. We see him as a promising and ambitious player who complements Kennedy well—together they form a diverse tandem at the five spot. I believe that with our development system, Luka can make a serious leap forward in his career and also contribute to the team’s results this season,” added Cedevita Olimpija’s head coach, Zvezdan Mitrović, welcoming the new addition to the Dragon family.
“I truly feel grateful and excited to wear the Cedevita Olimpija jersey. I’m coming in prepared and focused, with a clear goal: to give everything I’ve got—for my teammates and for the fans,” said Luka Brajković after signing with the club.
Luka Brajković began his basketball career with the Austrian club Dornbirn Lions, and in 2018 he moved across the Atlantic to play for Davidson College, where he spent four seasons. In his final NCAA season, he averaged 14.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game over 34 appearances. In 2022, he was also named Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Year.
Upon returning to Europe, he played for Spanish club Río Breogán in the 2022/23 season (ACB League), then spent the 2023/24 campaign in Greece with Kolossos. In the 2024/25 season, he started with Italian team Tesi Pistoia before transferring to Turkish club Darüşşafaka in November. In the Italian league, he played eight games, averaging 8.9 points and 6.4 rebounds. In the Turkish league, he appeared in 21 games, averaging 9.0 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.
Brajković has long been part of the Austrian national team system. He made his FIBA debut in 2015 at the Division B European Championship for the U16 national team. With the senior national team, he competed in the EuroBasket 2025 pre-qualifiers and the 2027 FIBA World Cup pre-qualifiers. In the latter, he averaged 15.3 points and 7.3 rebounds over four games.
