Starting TOP 16 against Virtus Segafredo Bologna

The players of Cedevita Olimpija will play in Group G in the second part of the 7DAYS EuroCup, together with the Italian Virtus, the French Bourg and the Montenegrin Buducnost VOLI.

Cedevita Olimpija started the new season of the 7DAYS EuroCup in Group D, and concluded the first part of the competition with seven wins and three defeats. For the first time since we can follow a team called Cedevita Olimpija in Ljubljana, fans will be able to follow the fights of the best 16 teams in the European Cup.

In the second part of the competition, the Dragons will present themselves in Group G, where they will face Italian Virtus, French Bourg and Montenegrin Buducnost. The Podgorica team is also a rival of Cedevita Olimpija in the ABA League, and finished the first part of the competition in group B in fourth place, with five wins and as many defeats. Bourg from the French city of Bresse recorded six wins and four defeats in Group A, and with this result they were tied with Unics from Kazan. Nevertheless, the French finished the first part in third place.

Certainly, all the fans will be looking forward to the showdown with Virtus Segafredo Bologna, who was the only one to conclude the first part of the competition without a defeat, with ten victories. The Italian team, with which the Dragons met in the elite Euroleague at the beginning of the new millennium, and last met the team from Bologna in the Basketball Champions League, has a real star team, and the most famous names are certainly Miloš Teodosić and Marco Belinelli. The exceptional Italian team is led from the bench by strategist Saša Djordjević.

In the second part of the competition, Virtus will be the first opponent of the Ljubljana basketball players, who are expected to start their fights among the best 16 teams of the 7DAYS EuroCup on Wednesday, January 13, at 18.30 in Virtus Segafredo Arena in Bologna.
