The basketball players of Cedevita Olimpija will once again step on the floor of the Arena Stožice in the ABA League on Saturday at 19.00 and clash with FMP from Železnik in the 19th round.

The break of the members of the member team did not last long. After the middle of the 14th round of the ABA League in Novo mesto and the victory over Krka with 95:88, Cedevita Olimpija will step on the floor again on Saturday at 19.00 and clash with FMP in the 19th round of the regional competition.

It was the FMP basketball players who inflicted the last defeat on Cedevita Olimpija in the calendar year 2020. On December 30 last year in Železnik, it was 91:88 for talented Belgraders. In a green-orange jersey, Jarrod Jones shone with 24 points, Jaka Blažič added 17 and seven assists. Marko Radovanović showed his best performance of the season at FMP, scoring eight more rebounds with 28 points (6/6 throw for two, 5/8 throw for three).

The Ljubljana team enters the match on the wings of seven consecutive victories in international competitions, while in the rejuvenated squad, Cedevita Olimpija won in Stožice on Thursday against Šenčur (67:60) in the opening match of the Nova KBM League for the champion.

However, we have to pay attention to ourselves and enter the match with more energy than in Novo mesto. We know the individual qualities of our competitors and we know where the danger comes from. We are preparing for Saturday’s match, we don’t have much time, but we have to get used to this rhythm.”
