On Wednesday we face JL Bourg in France

Cedevita Olimpija is on the road again in 7DAYS EuroCup, as the Dragons look to face JL Bourg in Bourg-en-Bresse on Wednesday at 19.30 in Round 9 of the 7DAYS EuroCup regular season.

This is the fifth time that these two teams play each other in the EuroCup. The current record is in favor of Cedevita Olimpija, 1-3, even if Bourg won their last encounter. The Dragons will look to get back on the winning track, as they’ve lost the last game in the competition against Germani Brescia on the home court of Stožice Arena (80:83). At the same time, JL Bourg, which is the leading team of Group A in the 7DAYS EuroCup, also lost their last game in the competition, as Ulm beat them on the home court in Germany this past week.

“JL Bourg is deservedly at the top of our group. The team is well composed and led from the bench, while our rivals did not have any major problems. All teams have had their ups and downs, including injury and illness issues. JL Bourg was complete throughout the season, and the French team played a superb eight matches. They play smart. They have two home-grown playmakers who play well with their teammates, while making the most of their qualities. At the same time, it is a very good ‘shooting’ team, shooting more than 45% from the field. Therefore, we have an extremely difficult match ahead of us. If we want to keep the hope of a breakthrough into the second stage of the competition, we will have to play by far the best game of the season.”

“A tough game in France is ahead of us, as we will face the leading team of our group. JL Bourg is definitely an extremely good team that has shown a lot this season. We had two days to prepare for our rivals. We will do our best to return to Ljubljana with a victory.”
