The senior team basketball players of Cedevita Olimpija will face Borac Mozzart on Sunday at 6:00 PM in Stožice Arena in the 25th round of the regular season of the AdmiralBet ABA League. Tickets for the game are available at vstopnice.olimpija.com, with free entry for all those with the 6.Zmaj app.

Sunday will once again be a basketball-filled day in the Stožice arena. At 6:00 PM, Cedevita Olimpija will host Borac Mozzart from Čačak in the 25th round of the regular season, aiming to secure an important victory in the fight for playoff spots. The Ljubljana team currently has 15 wins and left the court with their heads held high in their last three games, most recently defeating Mega Superbet in Belgrade last Sunday.

With six games remaining in the regular season, Cedevita Olimpija has not yet secured a playoff spot and currently sits in sixth place on the standings. They trail Igokea m:tel, in fifth place, by one win, though Igokea has outperformed the Dragons in both of their head-to-head matchups this season. Ahead of their closest pursuers in the playoff race, the team led by head coach Zvezdan Mitrović holds a three-win advantage, and they have seven more victories than Borac, their upcoming opponent in Ljubljana on Sunday. Borac, too, remains theoretically in contention for a playoff spot, making every game crucial for the Čačak team, just as it is for Cedevita Olimpija.

Due to the limited number of parking spaces in the Stožice garage, we recommend that all visitors to Sunday’s game arrive early—at least 60 minutes earlier than usual—using public transportation. With a game ticket, you can ride Ljubljana Public Transport buses for free three hours before and three hours after the game.

If you plan to arrive by personal vehicle, park at nearby lots around Stožice (Žale I, Žale II, Žale III, Žale IV, Žale V, Kranjčeva, and Gosarjeva). The garage at the Stožice arena will be open until its severely limited spaces are filled.

TICKET PURCHASE:

Tickets for the game are available at vstopnice.olimpija.com, Eventim Slovenija, and the Petrol Ticket online platform. They can also be purchased at all Petrol gas stations across Slovenia. Everyone with the 6.Zmaj app will enjoy free entry!

The box office and arena doors will open at 5:00 PM. The NLB “Fast Entry” will again be available, allowing visitors who present an NLB bank card before entering the arena to access the Stožice venue more quickly.

FAN ZONE:

In addition to free entry for all 6.Zmaj app holders, users who have collected over 120 points will also receive a special gift—a 6.Zmaj water bottle! You can pick it up at the 6.Zmaj info desk in the fan zone, located in the green section of the arena.

In the green section, you’ll once again find our basketball obstacle course, coloring books, and a diploma for anyone attending a Dragons’ game for the first time. The fan zone will also offer a photo backdrop, and we encourage all fans to come dressed in supporter gear. The best photo posted on Instagram with the tag @kkcedevitaolimpija will win a prize. Woop! Slovenija will provide entertainment with a game of Cornhole.

During the break, the Heka Supplements prize game for 1,000 EUR will take place again. At halftime, there will be an All-Star game featuring children from a tournament held earlier in the small Stožice hall. Fans can also compete at the obstacle course for a chance to win two VIP tickets to the home game against Cibona.

TV BROADCAST:

The game will be broadcast live on Arena Sport Slovenija 2.

PRE-GAME STATEMENTS:

“We’ve completed the first part of our preparations for our Sunday opponent. The game between Borac and Budućnost, which we first showed to the players, perfectly illustrated how Budućnost initially held a significant lead but relaxed too much in the third quarter. This allowed Borac to erase the deficit with a 26:6 run and get back into the game, forcing Budućnost to fight hard to regain their rhythm. This example clearly shows that the team from Čačak doesn’t give up easily. We’re currently training really well and intensely in this rhythm of one game per week. Our seriousness and approach to the game will be key. We must do our job with maximum professionalism and not underestimate our opponents, as we can’t afford to do so. We need to play a good game and give it our all,” said Zvezdan Mitrović, head coach of Cedevita Olimpija’s senior team, ahead of Sunday’s game in Stožice.

“We’re excited to return to Stožice and play in front of our home fans again. Borac is coming to Ljubljana on a losing streak, but they’re still in the playoff race, so we believe our opponents will step onto the court motivated on Sunday. We’re looking forward to the home game and hope a large crowd of fans will join us in Stožice,” said Rok Radović ahead of Sunday’s game in the Stožice arena.

GAME PREVIEW:

Last Sunday, Cedevita Olimpija’s senior team traveled to Belgrade to face Mega Superbet. The Dragons started the noon matchup strongly and were the better team for nearly all 40 minutes. By the 27th minute, the scoreboard showed 64:45 in favor of the Green-and-Orange squad, which kept their opponent at a safe distance until the end, securing a convincing 81:72 victory. Brynton Lemar posted 29 points (16/17 free throws), including 20 in the first half, while Aleksej Nikolić added 11 points, six assists, and four rebounds.

With Sunday’s win, the Dragons solidified their sixth place in the standings, taking an important step toward a playoff berth. However, Ljubljana remains in pursuit of Igokea, which has one more win and a better record in their two head-to-head games this season.

On Sunday, Borac Mozzart arrives in Ljubljana, having lost their last four games in the regional league and five of their last six. Their most recent victory came in the 20th round, when they defeated Mornar-Barsko zlato 90:71 at home. Borac’s most effective player this season is Diante Raynard Baldwin, who averages 13.3 points, 5.0 assists, and 3.7 rebounds in 32.4 minutes per game.

Borac’s last two losses came against two top-tier teams in the regional league. In the 23rd round, the Čačak squad visited Budućnost VOLI and lost 69:86, and in the 24th round, they hosted Crvena zvezda Meridianbet at home, falling 98:72. Three Borac players scored in double digits, with former Krka Novo Mesto player Marko Jošilo leading the way with 14 points.

In the first head-to-head matchup of the season in Čačak, in the 10th round, the scoreboard read 94:74 in favor of Cedevita Olimpija. The Ljubljana team thus recorded their ninth consecutive win over Borac since 2019, and their fifth straight victory in Čačak. The Dragons showcased excellent defense, though their offense took time to click. They found their rhythm in the third quarter, pulled away in the final stretch, and celebrated a convincing win. Jaka Blažič and Aleksej Nikolić each scored 14 points, Devin Robinson added 13, Andrija Stipanović contributed nine points along with five rebounds and five assists, and DeVante Jones also scored nine points while dishing out seven assists.
