Mornar is coming to Tivoli in the last game of the year

Cedevita Olimpija will face Mornar-Barsko zlato in the last game of the 2022, as Round 12 of the AdmiralBet ABA League concludes on Tuesday at 19.00 in Tivoli Sports Hall.

As the calendar year 2022 comes to an end, Cedevita Olimpija will play it’s last game of the year on Tuesday at 19.00 in Tivoli Sports Hall. Mornar-Barsko zlato is coming to Ljubljana, and the Dragons will look to keep the winning streak in the AdmiralBet ABA League alive. Currently, Ljubljana’s squad is at five wins in a row, seeking for their sixth win in a row in Round 12.

Cedevita Olimpija have been looking quite impressive over the past few weeks. The Dragons have won the previous 5 games in the 2022/23 AdmiralBet ABA League regular season, while on top of that they scored a huge road win against JL Bourg last week in the 7Days EuroCup. It is quite obvious that the Ljubljana side have significantly improved their form as soon as some important players recovered from injuries and this team now indeed looks like one of the main contenders for the top of AdmiralBet ABA League.

On the other side, Mornar-Barsko zlato are going through a tough stage as they lost 4 out of the last 5 games in the league. The boys from Bar have therefore dropped out of the Playoffs zone, but if they manage to stun Cedevita Olimpija on the road they will then tie with Igokea m:tel and Cibona who are currently holding the last two places in the Top 8.

It will be very difficult to stop them. In its ranks, the Mornar has Daron Russell, who is very fast and an extremely good shooter, and in the competition he scores 30 points per game. We will have to prepare to stop him. We have to move a lot in attack and get open shots at the basket, and play as always, with a lot of running, and in defense show an even more solid game.
