Mark Morano Mahmutovič, a talented basketball player from Cedevita Olimpija, will spend the 2025/26 season on loan with Kansai Helios Domžale. In the 2024/25 season, after turning 18, he signed his first professional contract with the Ljubljana-based club and helped the Dragons win the national championship title in the Slovenian First League (1. SKL).
He began his basketball journey in the youth categories of Cedevita Olimpija, where he quickly stood out. With the Ljubljana club, he won national championships at the U15, U16, and U18 levels and was a key player on teams that dominated the Slovenian youth basketball scene with their strong performances.
In the 2024/25 season, he made his debut for Cedevita Olimpija’s senior team, having previously played successfully for the Cedevita Olimpija juniors. He debuted with the senior squad in the Spar Cup, scoring six points in the semifinal against ECE Triglav and three in the final against Krka. During the playoffs of the national championship, he appeared in six games, averaging 9.5 minutes and 3.2 points per game. In the same season, he was also a vital member of Cedevita Olimpija mladi in the 3rd Slovenian League (3. SKL), where he averaged 19.3 points across 19 games.
On the international stage, he made a strong impression at the Euroleague U18 tournament in Munich, where he was selected to the All-Tournament Team with averages of 21 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. In the ABA U19 League tournament in Laktaši, he averaged 19.3 points, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds per game.
