Dragons reached the Final after beating Šenčur

Cedevita Olimpija has beaten Gorenjska Gradbena družba Šenčur in the Thursday’s Spar Cup Semi-final game (90:69) and qualified for the Final. On Friday on 20.00 the squad, led from the bench by head coach Jurica Golemac will face Helios Suns in the trophy game.

In the Thursdayy’s Semi-final game of the Spar Cup Final Tournament, Cedevita Olimpija has prevailed over Gorenjska gradbena družba Šenčur in Lukna Sports Hall in Maribor with the score of 90:69 and qualified for the Final of the competition. They will face Helios Suns on Friday at 20.00 in the repetition of the last season’s final game. Helios Suns have prevailed over Terme Olimia Podčetrtek with the score of 87:82 in the Semi-finals.

The Šenčur squad stayed in touch with the Dragons only in the opening quarter, in which they actually prevailed with the score of 19:16. However, the Ljubljana side took control of the game in the second quarter, grabbing a 5-point lead at the big break and an 18-point lead after 30 minutes. In the end, they have prevailed convincingly, with the final score of 90:69.

For the winning side, Amar Alibegovič led the way in scoring this time with 17 points on his record. Alen Omić added 15, Matic Rebec 11 and Karlo Matković 10.

Cedevita Olimpija will be chasing its 22nd cup trophy on Friday, in their 26th appearance in the Final.
